The Virtual Tour!
Packaging
This is where the beer gets put into containers for final consumption. At Upland that means in 12 oz bottles or in one of three types of keg: sixth barrels, pony kegs, and half barrels. But first, the beer must undergo final preparation for packaging. This means a short stay in one of our two bright beer tanks (BBTs) to ensure proper carbonation. Once this has been achieved, the beer - which is maintained at 0 °C - is ready for bottling or kegging.
After being packaged in our bottling or kegging lines, Upland beer is shipped to all 92 counties across the state. Kegs will eventually find their way back to us, where they are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for re-use when the process starts all over again.
And there you have it! A virtual tour of our brewery. We hope this gave you a feel for what goes on here at Upland, and - more importantly - we hope you enjoyed it.
