UPLAND JOINS SYCAMORE LAND TRUST AS CHARTER MEMBER
JANUARY 10, 2007
Upland Brewing Company is proud to announce that it
has joined twenty-one other businesses as charter members of the Sycamore Land Trust.
In 2006, Sycamore Land Trust (SLT) unveiled an ambitious program to create a
support base among local and regional businesses that support the SLT's
environmental mission. The core of SLT's mission is the acquisition, protection, and restoration of South-Central Indiana natural
habitats for the enjoyment of present and future generations.
So far, SLT
has brought approximately 4000 acres under its protection.
Upland considers SLT's work essential to the support of Indiana's natural heritage, a heritage that in turn supports increased tourism, informed and intelligent management of natural resources, and sustainable long-term economic growth.
Other organizations performing similarly valuable work in Indiana are the
Acres Land Trust, and The Nature Conservancy of Indiana.
Business leaders who share this vision of what makes Indiana the great place to live and work that it is should contact Erin
Hollinden, Outreach Coordinator, at 812-336-5382
