SHAKE, RATTLE, AND ASK FOR UPLAND!
BLOOMINGTON, IN, OCTOBER 30, 2006
Good news for Upland beer drinkers. You can expect to quench your thirst with Upland at the French Lick Resort Casino.
Whether the chips fall your way or not, Upland aficionados can count on the enjoyment of a delicious meal and pint o' Indiana's best at all the upscale French Lick Springs Hotel venues. These include the elegant Power Plant, with its wall of turn-of-the-century copper levers and switches—saved from the trash heap by Carl Cook, 1875: The Steakhouse, (marvelous garden views), and Spring #8, adjacent to the indoor-outdoor atrium pool. Inside the Casino, Upland Wheat is on tap at Diamond Jim's bar and restaurant Upland can also be found on tap at Hagen's—the fully remodeled clubhouse at the beautifully designed Donald Ross Golf Course.
Much has been written about the twin restorations (the French Lick Springs Hotel and the West Baden Springs Hotel) as well as the introduction of the state-of-the-art French Lick Casino. The doors spring wide to the French Lick Hotel and the Casino on November Third. Every person with any interest in Indiana history (and Indiana's future) should put a trip to French Lick on the top of their travel agenda. For most folks, the ooh-and-aah tour through the restored, refurbished, and newly created Hotel and Casino elements will take a good hour.
Fortunately, Upland will be on draught at nearly all of the extraordinary venues where cooling one's heels will combine perfectly with the inspiring of one's imagination.
